Can you believe back to school is coming up and back to school shopping has already started? Where did the summer go? ha! We love stopping by Sam’s Club & checking out their back to school sales each year. This back to school season Sam’s Club is partnering with participating Kellogg’s and J.M. Smucker Company products to bring you a special “Start School Like a Champion” offer where you get one Scholastic book for free & another book gets donated to a local school. Isn’t that awesome? Annnnnd I think this cute DIY Quiet Bag would be perfect for holding your free book in! Let’s get started! :)
Sam’s Club is a great one stop shop for back to school supplies, lunch box favorites, breakfast items & back to school sales. I also love how you can buy in bulk & really stock up on all those back to school essentials. Right now you can look for these specialty marked boxes like these Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes. Then, like I said when you purchase these products you can get one book for your child, & then each Sam’s Club has partnered with a local school to make a book donation to that school.
Redeem your free books in 3 easy steps! 1. Buy any participating Kellogg’s or The J.M. Smucker Company product by 9/30/2016 2. Upload your receipt at FreeBookOffer.com/Sams within 30 days of purchase. 3. Redeem for your free Scholastic book and one book will be donated to a local classroom as well!
You can find over 80 full -length Scholastic titles to choose from in this special offer. Including our favorite book, A Bad Case of Stripes! Isn’t that an adorable book? You can check out all the awesome titles right {HERE}.
My kiddos love to read! So I decided to make a cute DIY Quiet Bag that they can stick in their backpacks, or keep in the car to take with them to church, to look at during the car rider pick up line or to take to an after school dentist appointment. (Yes, I just scheduled those! ha!) These little bags are perfect for holding a few books, paper & markers ~ everything my kiddos need to keep them quietly busy for a little while.
For this project you will need:
canvas bag
heat transfer vinyl
digital cutting machine
iron
First, iron your bag, so it is nice & smooth.
Place your iron on transfer right on top.
Put a pillowcase or a cloth on top. Iron on high using lots of pressure.
Remove the backing. Leaving the heat transfer vinyl behind.
Fill your bag with your favorite Scholastic books, markers & paper. Too cute!
She’s pretty cute, too! Annnnd she is going into the 4th grade! How did that happen??!!
Start school like a champion! Get two free Scholastic books– one for yourself and one to donate to a local school – when you buy any participating Kellogg’s® or J.M. Smucker product at Sam’s Club®. Products must be purchased now thru 9/30/16, while supplies last! Over 80 full-length Scholastic titles to choose from for beginning readers to teens! Be sure to shop at Sam’s Club like I did to take advantage of this special back to school offer.
