Hello there! It’s been kind of quiet over here! I’ve been busy redoing all of our bathrooms! I painted our bathroom cabinets in both bathrooms with chalky finish paint! Annnnnd I love the results! I’m hoping to convince the hubby to let me paint our kitchen cabinets. So far it’s a no go! ha! I’ll be sharing our bathroom updates soon, but in the meantime I thought I’d share an easy dishwasher safe Glass Chalkboard Paint tutorial with you! I love that this painted label is dishwasher safe….plus chalkboard anything is so super cute! So let’s get started! :)
For this project you will need:
glass chalkboard paint (from DecoArt)
glass drink dispensor
vinyl stencil (I cut this one with my Silhouette or you could use a Cricut.)
foam brush or makeup sponge
alcohol wipes
oven
First, you will apply the vinyl lettering. You can see how I cut & apply vinyl lettering right {HERE}.
Next, clean the area you are going to paint with an alcohol swab. Let dry.
Gently dab on the chalkboard paint with a foam brush (or makeup sponge).
Carefully remove the vinyl stencil.
Let the paint dry. Then remove plastic spigot. Bake glass canister at 325°F for 30 minutes for a dishwasher-safe finish. Before using condition the label by rubbing a piece of chalk over it & then erasing it.
Then enjoy some fresh lemonade! Yum!
