Good morning! Today is the day! The Cricut Maker 3 and Cricut Explore 3 are available for purchase on Cricut.com! I am anxiously waiting for mine to arrive, and I will have an unboxing & full review headed your way very soon! Which one will I get? Stay tuned!
What are you most excited about with either machine? For me, I am most ecstatic about cutting without a mat & being able to cut up to 12 feet long! My crafty dreams are coming true! I have compared the Silhouette & Cricut machines before, & the mat and cutting length were one of my only cons to the Cricut machines over the Silhouette. Now that concern is gone! Yay! BTW you can see that review here. Now let me just share a few highlights from these amazing new smart machines. Let’s get started! :)
Like I said the biggest advantage to me for BOTH these machines is the matless cutting option & the ability to make long cuts. Buuuuut here are some other ah-mazing highlights:
- Both machines have Print Then Cut capability on both white AND colored materials.
- Your tools for both the Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore Air 2 will both work in these new machines. You will not have to run out & buy new blades, accessories, materials, mats or pens. Awesome!
- Cricut will sale a compatible roll holder that will fit both machines. This will insure your Smart Materials load perfectly every time, and the roll holder also comes with a built in trimmer. Nice!
- You will use the same Cricut ID as always, and you will have access to all your content with both the Maker 3 and Explore 3.
- Fast cuts! Both the Cricut Maker 3 and Explore 3 have built in Fast Mode. You will be able to cut up to 2x faster than the older machines using certain materials.
- Explore 3 no longer has the smart dial. Design Space has integrated material settings for the Explore 3 – so no more dial!
I will be sharing even more later! Plus my first project with my new machine! Let me know if you have any questions! Remember you can purchase both of these machines starting today at Cricut.com! SHOP HERE. :)
