Ginger Snap Crafts: 5 Ways to Organize with the Cricut Joy

5 Ways to Organize with the Cricut Joy

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cricut. All opinions are 100% mine.

Good morning! Are you ready for some good news? I know I am! :) Annnnd this is a big one! Eek! Cricut has just launched a brand new machine. Annnnnd this cute little machine is a must have. I am so excited to tell you all about the Cricut Joy! I love that it’s small enough to put anywhere (you do not need a craft room!), it’s great for the craft newbie and so versatile that experienced crafters will want to add it to their crafty arsenal even if they already own a Cricut or two! ;) This little machine is so handy, and there are so, so, so many different ways I could use the Cricut Joy in my home. It was hard to narrow down to what direction I wanted to head first. I finally decided on organization. Organizing is my second love behind crafting. Annnd the Cricut Joy combines both of these! So, let me show you 5 Ways to Get Your Home Organized with the Cricut Joy. Let’s go! :)

What I love about the Cricut Joy is that you can easily personalize, organize & create on your kitchen counter, at the coffee table in the living room or just about anywhere in your home in 15 minutes or less. Yep! Each of these projects took me less than 15 minutes to make. Awesome! :)

Cricut Joy is the perfect companion to have in your home to quickly & easily personalize anything & everything! With just one cut & one color you can create anything in seconds. Cricut Joy is so fun, very functional & extremely simple to use. I was busy creating within minutes of getting it out of the box. Practical, everyday projects have never been more accessible or easier to make! If you already own a Maker or Air 2, Cricut Joy opens additional creative possibilities with unique features, & it is the perfect companion for these larger machines because of its quick, mat-free projects (yes, mat free!) and long cuts (up to 20 feet!).

Cricut Joy is Cricut’s smallest smart cutting machine ever! It’s tiny, but fierce! :) It can fit on a shelf or looks great setting on your counter or on the desk in your home office. The Cricut Joy also packs away easily for storage & sets up in just a few minutes, making it super easy to move from room to room (as you organize everything!). :) I love the blue tooth technology. Less cords to worry with, and not having to transport a mat in addition to the smaller material size, makes the whole system compact & super portable for crafting when the mood hits. :)

For these projects you will need a few fun Cricut Joy supplies:

Your Cricut Joy (of course!)
Cricut Joy™ Smart Label™ Writable Vinyl
Cricut Joy™ Smart Vinyl™ – Permanent (or vinyl scraps that you already have on hand)
Cricut Joy™ Adhesive-Backed Deluxe Paper
Starter Tool Set
Cricut Joy™ StandardGrip Mat, 4.5" x 12"
Cricut Joy™ Fine Point Pens (Yes, the Cricut Joy writes, too!)

I will link to the Design Space file as I talk about each project. Let’s get started! :)

It’s super easy in Design Space to find organization projects. Annnnd lots of them are totally free. To find the free projects simply click on “Free for Cricut Joy”.

Next I searched labels. Then I picked one to do first. So many choices! :)

This first project I made are these cute Days of the Week Folder Labels. This is a great way to keep all of your kiddos schoolwork organized. :)

I clicked make it and then selected without mat. I used the smart label writeable vinyl for this project. So, no mat is needed since it is a smart product. Yay!

Then all you have to do follow the simple instructions, load your material, push go and let your Cricut Joy do the work. :)

First, it will write out the labels with the Cricut Joy pen.

Then Design Space will prompt you switch out the pen for the blade & your Joy will cut out the labels.

Stick the labels on the folders, and your kiddos are already more organized! Well, they look more organized anyways. ;)

The rest of these projects follow very similar steps! Pick a project in Design Space & send it to your Cricut Joy. These pantry labels are too cute! I just used some scrap vinyl that I have. You do not have to use smart materials with your Joy. You can use any type of vinyl (and tons of other materials!) by using the cutting mats. This is a great way to go through the vinyl & paper scraps you might of been saving up. ;)

You’ll just weed your vinyl and apply to jars & containers. In just a few minutes your pantry will be transformed. :) I just love an organized pantry!

Alright for this next project I used some of the adhesive backed deluxe paper to make some cute power cord labels. One of hardest things in our home is keeping track of the charger cords in our house. These little labels are ah-mazing. Now everyone will know which cord is mine. ha! ;)

You simply cut out the labels & then wrap them around the cord. Use a pen to write names or devices on them, and then your cords are labeled. Easy peasy! Annnnnd so cute! :)

We have been spending tons of time at home lately. Annnnd the amount of cups that we are going through is crazy. So these cup labels are going to save me from washing so many cups! I’ll have the kiddos write their names on one & then stick it on their cup. Problem solved! :)

Alright, this last project also uses the smart label writeable vinyl (again!) & Cricut Joy pens! Can you tell that I love, love this material & using the pens? ;) You can do so many things with it. Anyways, these cute spice labels are a must to keep all the spaces organized and looking cute in your kitchen. What do you think?

So, why do I love this machine so much? Hmmmm…..let me count the ways. ha! Buuuut I think my favorite thing is that mats are optional! Yay! And I really love that you can cut up to 20 feet. I have so many DIY projects in my mind swirling around. Not sure which one I’ll tackle first. Those two reasons alone (even if you already own another Cricut machine!) makes it worth investing in a Cricut Joy. Everyone could use a Cricut Joy in their life. :) What is your favorite feature? What would you organize first? Let me know! :) Find out more at Cricut.com. Cricut Joy is available online and in-store right now.
