Good morning! Guess who’s celebrating a birthday this month? M-I-C…..K-E-Y…..M-O-U-S-E! Did you sing that in your head when you read it? ;) Annnnnd it’s a big one! Mickey Mouse is turning 90 years old! So, it’s a great time to celebrate along with him by hosting a Happy Birthday Mickey Mouse Waffle Bar for your family! Eggo Mickey Homestyle Waffles, 16ct makes celebrating all things Mickey even easier. Let me show you how! :)
Eggo Waffles are just like the ones you make at home…annnnnd these Mickey Mouse ones are only cuter! ;) Eggo Waffles have no artificial flavors & only have colors from natural sources as well. They are great for on the go! I know my kiddos grab them most mornings. They are wholesome & filling. You can’t go wrong with an Eggo Waffle. They are also the perfect starting point when hosting a get together like this waffle bar. Usually we just pop these in the toaster for a quick breakfast or snack. Buuuut when hosting a party like this the first tip is to cook them on a baking sheet in the oven. That works awesome for heating up a bunch of waffles at once.
For our party set up, I chose to use a Mickey approved black, white & red color scheme. I also added a few polka dots to the mix as well. Black & white paper straws, red polka dotted napkins & black paper plates worked perfectly. For the cups, I just used mason jars with chalkboard tags to write the names of my guest.
A black & white pennant banner finished the look. It was super easy to make, too. I found the white cardboard pennants at the craft store & then added the black polka dots (they’re vinyl stickers) & then strung them on some twine. Easy peasy! :)
Now for the toppings! I like to go the more nutritious route when I’m serving my family breakfast. So here are some of our favorite toppings.
- low sugar syrup
- bananas
- strawberries
- blackberries
- blueberries
- frozen vanilla yogurt
To make these yummy waffles all you do is grab one or two of these cute Eggo Mickey homestyle waffles on your plate.
Then add a dollop of frozen yogurt along with the fruit topping of your choice.
Drizzle with a little bit of syrup.
Serve with orange juice or milk. Then enjoy!
Remember Eggo Waffles are a great solution for so many occasions like birthdays, family get togethers, school mornings or even at the holidays. They are a simple, quick breakfast (or snack!) for your family. Use them as a meal or even in a dessert. They are on the go perfection! :)
