I decided to try out one of Lindsay’s Harry Potter inspired crafts, Luna Lovegood’s Spectrespecs String Art, to give you a little peek to what is inside the book. :)

For this project you will need:
a piece of wood
hammer
embroidery thread or yarn (pink, hot pink, blue)
nails
white paint
paint brush
typing paper
pencil
a copy of Harry Potter: Homemade

Lindsay’s book has wonderful step by step instructions for you to follow! First, paint your board.

You’ll then trace your pattern from Lindsay’s book onto your typing paper. Then tape it to your board.

Then hammer your nails along your pattern every half inch or so.

Once your finished doing that, carefully pull off your paper pattern.

Now it’s time for the fun part…the string! :)

Tie your thread to a nail, and then go back and forth between nails to get the desired look.

Tie off, and then you’ll cut off any loose threads. All done!
